Family Range Day 9am

Family Day 2019Full day of fun for the whole family! Lunch, free T-Shirts, games and prizes! You do not need to be a member of the club to come to this event open to the public!

Never fired a gun?  No problem, we can help with getting you started with safe gun handling and will have an expert to help you!

You should arrive by 8:30 am to get signed in, and be ready for the safety briefing and gun safety class for beginners.

As far as being finished, you can set your own schedule since you don’t have to do all events just the ones you want to do.  And the only events that will going until 4pm are the Shooting Gallery and 5 Card Stud; the rest will be done before that unless we have a lot of people for the Rimfire Challenge and 3 Gun Experience.  Each event will have experts to help you through them and teach you along the way. So training is all day and shooting is all day!

Scheduled events:

Rimfire Challenge – Steel plates with both pistol and rifle and a total of 5 stages. You shoot 3 strings at each and you start with pistol at all stages and come back and then do rifle at all stages. 5 to 7 plates in each stage. You need a total of 300 rounds of 22LR for this event.

3 Gun Experience – One stage same as we have done in the past total round count 8 on pistol, 7 on shotgun, and 6 on rifle. We have a dueling tree and 4 inch knock over plates on pistol. Texas star and two poppers for shotgun and 6 plates on the plate rack for rifle.

5 Card Stud – We have a poker table that is set up and a target with all 52 cards on it. The shooter starts facing up range, and at the go turns and picks up two cards on the table (gets a plan for the hand), sets the cards back face down, and then picks up the pistol to shoot 3 cards to make your poker hand. You have 2 mins to pick your cards with your shots. The best hand in each class of the day wins a prize! (Adult Man and woman, Youth Boy and Girl)

5 Stand – Located on the shotgun range to teach 5 stand for those who have never shot this event before. You will know which trap the bird is coming from, but that's all.  25 birds in total per round will be thrown, so if you like shotgun shooting this event is for you!

Precision 22 long range shoot – This event is sponsored by the National Rifle League, and run by Black Hammer Tacti-Cool.  Learn to shoot a 22LR from 25 yards out to 200 yards with both steel and paper targets.

Shooting Gallery – This event is sponsored by Henry firearms, and if you have never fired a lever action rifle, you will not be able to say that after this event! Pair off against your son or daughter or friend with these 22LR lever action rifles. Why do we call it a shooting Gallery? Because you have 40 targets to choose from and you get to call your shots!

With this much fun most will not have time to eat but we have you covered with lunch and snacks throughout the day, provided by Yeti Dog!

All guns are provided, and for those over 13 can buy ammo at the event for each event, or purchase the ammo beforehand for the events you want to do. (If you have anyone under 14 sign up online, their ammo is free!)

Note to club members:  the entire range is dedicated for this event.  Please schedule accordingly.
