JOIN/RENEW FORM

Joining As A New Member?

1.  Fill out the membership form, keeping in mind that:

a.  The membership fee is for a household membership.  The name on the form is the primary user, and all other household members are range users.  If you are single, you are the primary user.  Range users must be legally capable of handling firearms under state law.

b.  You will receive ONE gate key per membership.  The primary user is responsible for all actions of the range users and guests on the range.

c.  All users must attend range orientation and be assessed before the card is activated.

d.  The primary user must be a member of the National Rifle Association.  You may be either a full member or an associate member (no magazines). If you are already a member, please include your NRA number.  If not, you can join through the club.

2.  Read and sign the “Hold Harmless Agreement”.  Return those signed form with the application and membership fee.

3.  You may mail (Post office or e-mail) the application in, or bring it to your range orientation.  We don’t have on-line applications at this time.  If you scan in the application, and e-mail it, do not put your credit card information on the form.  Pay at your range orientation, or mail a check in.

4.  Register for a range orientation, using the links in the sidebar to the left. We offer several orientations each month.

5.  Come to the orientation with eye and ear protection.  Come a few minutes early to sign the roster, and pay your fees.  Sessions generally last about an hour, and includes a brief tour of the range, weather permitting.  While the primary and range users must attend orientation, they do not need to attend together.

6.  Transport your personal firearm consistent with state law.  We recommend not using your personal carry firearm, and transporting a second firearm in a case.  This firearm may be a rifle, pistol, or shotgun.  This will be used for your assessment.  The range safety officer will walk you through assessment after the orientation is over.  This may take another hour or so, depending on how many new members are present.

7.  Once the orientation and assessment have been completed, the chief range safety officer will review and approve the application.  You will receive the gate key after the assessment, but it won't be activated until the chief range safety officer approves the application.  You will be notified by e-mail when the card is activated.

Testimonials

I’ve taken the ‘Women on Target’ course and highly recommend it for females of any age.  It certainly instilled some confidence in me, handling firearms. The instructors are knowledgeable, kind and patient. The course is informative, it’s fun and it’s empowering. If you have the opportunity, take the course

RIFLE AND ACTION RANGES CLOSED 1200-1600 ON 23 NOVEMBER FOR MAINTENANCE

Improvements to the club phone!

The club phone number can now handle text and voice messages.  We've also set up a system so that several people are notified at the same time.

No target stands in the falling plate bays

This can damage the plate stand, and may have serious richochets

These stands were found in (and removed from!) one of the falling plate plate bays on April 28th.  This practice is not acceptable, as the legs on the falling plates are not AR500 steel, and will be damaged by bullets.  There are already holes in them.  Further, the concrete blocks will be damaged by bullet impacts.  This has already happened.

Repairs to the falling plates come from your dues, which are needed for other range upkeep tasks.  Please respect the range.
